It does work, it just wasn’t automatically redirecting to the https site. I got it now. Thanks for your great write up and work on the script!!!

However, I am getting an error now. Can you please help? The script still finishes but the website does not show as secured when browsing to it.

Thank you for using my script, Leo!

It looks like Bitnami (who provides the WordPress image for Lightsail) changed the location of the certificates.

I have updated the script to work with the new location as well.

Re-run my script and hopefully, you will now have a working WordPress HTTPS install.

Maybe you have some suggestions. The only suspicious logs I see when executing the command is

2021/10/09 15:57:11 [INFO] Configuring webserver with the new certificate
mv: cannot stat ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.crt’: No such file or directory
mv: cannot stat ‘/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key’: No such file or directory

Web site still has an incorrect example.com certificate which was installed by default.
